Where do you find your inspiration?
I find my inspiration in my peers around me. I work with many talented hairdressers and at Kromatic I receive plenty of hands on training and AWESOME classes.
What gave you the desire to become a hairdresser?
I have always had a passion for hair and after years of contemplating and all the encouragement from friends and family I decided to go for it. I chose the best school in the area and dove in head first!
What is your favorite era in hairdressing and why?
My favorite era in hairdressing right now! Right now everything goes, whether classic and soft, punk, an eighties flare or a splash of flashy color. This era is so versatile!
What attracted you to Kromatic?
While working at another salon, I heard about Kromatic Hair and how they were an education forward salon with many talented stylists. One day I was offered an opportunity to be a hair model for an in salon educational seminar. I fell in love with Kromatic as it is a trend setting salon for the Temecula Valley and the way the team is like a family. All for one and one for all!
What is your favorite bad hair moment?
Oh my Goodness!! I will never forget in beauty school, my very first man's cut (by the way, I had just missed the whole week of men's cutting class), he asked for his side burns to be tapered, I instead took 2 inches off. He was pretty upset because I had no idea what taper meant, oops! Everything happens for a reason and due that incident I increased my mostly women client base to a large men's client base as well. I always strive to listen, understand, re-iterate the hair goal and I have to say experience is a good teacher!
What has been the greatest moment of your career?
My greatest moment in my career was early on when I realized that I had repeat clientele but more so when those clients followed me here to Kromatic Hair. It was that moment that I felt I definitely made the best career choice.
What aspect of hairdressing do you most enjoy?
I most enjoy men's hairdressing such as barbering, clean tapers and fades to me they are like architecture very structured with clean lines and edges!
