What is your craziest story from working backstage?
I think it was at the Long Beach show when our last model showed up 20 minutes before we went on stage. She had no make up on her hair was a MESS and she wore a white dress, but it was supposed to be all black that day! Needless to say we whipped her into shape so fast! She was the most unique hair model. Its’s just cool how working under pressure at times you come out with your best stuff. I love it!

Where do you find your inspiration?
Different shapes, like furniture, architecture, colors, bird feathers, peoples bad haircuts textures, fabrics, pretty much anything. I’m the guy that trys to find shape in everything.

What gave you the desire to become a hairdresser?
I think it is in my blood. I also blame my sister for all this, I wanted to be a barber, she disagreed and made me go to cosmetology school. I ain’t mad at her!

What is your favorite era in hairdressing and why?
I think the 80’s because I love big hair, and hair that rocks!!!

What attracted you to Kromatic?
NA

What is your favorite bad hair moment?
That’s a weird question !! HAHAHA!!

What has been the greatest moment of your career?
I think one of my greatest moments was when I started teaching. I was always so worried about what the crowd thought about my class and if I was doing ok. Soon I learned it’s not about me, that I was there for them after that I was much more excited to teach.

What aspect of hairdressing do you most enjoy?
The greatest aspect is the fact that I learn every day, I have a job that is anything but routine. I look at every person as a chance to push myself to open my mind to create and satisfy. The greatest feeling is when my guest is leaving our salon glowing. It is crazy because as much as it happens it only feels better and better everytime. P.S. I love what I do, Danny.
