What is it you love about this industry?
This is an awesome industry to be creative and have the freedom to be as successful as you choose to be! This industry is definitely not your average job. You become very personal with others and develop a trust with not just only their hair. I love meeting new people and I love being a hair designer. This is the perfect industry for me.
What was the reason you started doing hair?
I started tinkering with haircuts in my early teen years on my little sister and her friends. I worked as a receptionist at an aveda salon at age 14 while I waited on a long waiting list to enroll in beauty school. Honestly its been soon long I can't remember how it happened but I'm glad it did.

Free spirited, energetic, hippie, spontaneous, fun, structured, daring, edgy, and loud!
What is your source of inspiration?
I'm inspired not only in hair but in life by my husband, God, my son, my family,and whoever comes into my life.
How do you keep motivated in current hair trends?
I'm motivated by our educators who are constantly updating hairdressers in what's "in", what's up and comming, and trends we as hair dressers can alter to make our own. I'm also motivated when I attend hair shows or attend a hair designing class.
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
I would like to add another child to my family, be a home owner, and I hope to one day be a salon owner myself but ill be happy with whatever God blesses me with.
Best hairstyle:
I'm not sure what my best hair style is but my strongest areas are color, hair extensions , and cuts. I love a good short cut or long layered healthy hair.
What do you like to do in your free time?
What free time? J/k...Spending time with my husband and my baby boy, hiking, snowboarding, going to the beach, cooking, reading my Bible, and rock climbing with my husband. |
